Quality is our guarantee as we aim to
provide our clients with more than they
can imagine.
One of the most important elements of
sports photography is editing be it the
work from a single photographer or a
team of shooters, at one day or half day
events or longer projects. Photo Desk
specialises in on site editing of work
by photographers. Typically one editor
can handle the production of up to three
photographers on any given assignment.
Photo Desk editors set up bespoke
travelling high speed editing suites which
ensure accurate and fast processing of
material from the point of receiving photo
packed memory cards through to final
delivery as per client instructions eg.
upload to database, FTP to websites,
USB delivery etc.
Editing includes: colour and exposure
correction, image cropping if needed,
composition, retouching, captioning key
wording and credits.
Experience is a good teacher and
Photo Desk is fortunate to have on hand
photographers of vast experience and
expertise to coach and mentor other
photographers of all levels.
From one-on-one sessions to team/
group programmes aimed at incentivising
and inspiring photographers and photo
editors.
Photo Desk can also do photo department
audits to best advise publishing houses
or photo agencies on best practices and
stream lining these departments to best
serve requirements, while advising on
cost cutting techniques which do not
impact on quality of photographers’ work
and production of images.
Our team also provides guidance to
editorial teams to create a healthy
working synergy between departments
with photographers and photo editors.
