REFUND POLICY
The park district “Good Time Guarantee” Refund Policy does not apply to camps.
Refund requests must be made in-person at the Recreation Center of Highland Park during desk
hours.
All refund requests must be accompanied by a completed camp refund form in order to be
considered or processed. We do our best to issue refunds as quickly as possible, yet processing
may take between 2-3 weeks. Check refunds generally take approximately two weeks. Credit card
refunds are processed within three days of approval, although it may take 6-8 weeks to appear on
your statement.
Three to Seven Week Camp Session Refund Policy
1. For these sessions, a refund, less a $50 service charge per camper, per camp
session, will be given if properly submitted to the park district before
February 29 by 5pm.
2. Refund requests properly submitted after February 29 at 5 pm and before
May 13 at 5pm will be processed less a $200 service charge per camper.
3. For these sessions, no refunds are granted after May 13 at 5pm.
There are no exceptions to this policy.
4. Bus transportation fees are not refundable after April 22 at 5pm.
Mini Camp Refund Policy
A refund less a $50 service charge per camp session will be given if a camp refund form is
submitted to the park district in person before 5pm on Jun 17. No refunds are granted after this
date. There are no exceptions to this policy.
OTHER POLICIES
Insurance
The park district does not carry medical
or accident insurance for camp program
participants, as the cost would make program
fees prohibitive. Please review your own health
insurance liability plan to be certain that you and
your family have the proper coverage.
Behavior Management Procedures
Participants are expected to exhibit appropriate
behavior at all times. Guidelines have been
developed to help make our programs safe

Information Requests
Information regarding participants enrolled in
park district programs is confidential. For your
family’s safety, staff will not release information
to anyone who is not on your household account.
