Honor Our Past, Support Our Future
Ford’s Theatre relies on a partnership of public and
private support to fulfill its mission to celebrate the
legacy of President Abraham Lincoln and explore the
American experience through theatre and education.
The National Park Service is responsible for the utilities,
maintenance and staffing of the historic theatre and the
Petersen House. Ford’s Theatre Society’s renowned
theatrical productions, engaging educational
programs, quality museum exhibitions and live
historic interpretation are sustained through the
generosity of our donors. Ticket sales and other earned
income cover only half of our budget, which means we
must rely on people like you to ensure that Ford’s Theatre
remains a premier destination in Washington, D.C.
