The End of an Eros
By Sam Abbott
On this day, March 23, 2017, it became official. Blow Torch (BT) and Crash from Eros Island announced the closing of this very well loved adult gaming community. Feelings were mixed in the crowd as the questions started to raise in local. BT and Crash started out by explaining that they themselves have been greatly overcome by the recent events and announcements by Utherverse CEO, Brian Shuster, the would be shut down. Now, regardless of the details, and many are still and will probably remain unknown, we at Bending Reality Magazine would like to thank Eros Island for their grand efforts in making Eros such a great community to call home.
Many of the participants were in awe that BT, Crash, and Illusive had joined together and purchased an older gaming system that had no ties to Utherverse to make their own. Even though the system isn't quite functional yet they were suggesting it would be up and running by the time that Utherverse closed the doors on Eros Island for good. The awesome news was they were prepared with a backup plan. Starting their own thing. A whole new gaming system, no string or attachment to Utherverse. Total control of the code to change what they want when they want to.
Several great pieces of information were, everyone would be keeping their purchased VIPs, and Clams.....well not quite Clams but they would be converted to the new Systems currency Coins. Unfortunately items like clothing and spot formats would not be able to be transferred due to copyrights.
Well are you ready, the NEW HOME IS........3dchat.com. BT explained that he felt the graphics were better the format was better and there was much more to do. Some of the best features they mentioned were interpersonal interactions like shaking hands, “bitch” slapping someone, and the ever so slap-stick kick to the nuts. They added quite the list of new items that would be different in the new format. There are some downsides several of the items that we have put our hearts, blood, sweat and in some cases tears into will not be transferred. So, take some time and get yourselves a folder or two worth of screenshots of your favorite creations, cause by Monday, 27 March it will all be gone.
They took great care in explaining they were going to make things right by the people that stood by them in this and decided to make the move with them. Unfortunately, change take time, and Crash is the system coordinator that can make those changes.
Their initial run-though of the game left them with a good idea that this was no small undertaking. But they themselves took a test drive on the new system. Still filled with some (maybe more than wanted) glitches and bugs they will be busy for months to
come.
They are hoping that many of their faithful clientele will follow along with them in this great new adventure and make it better that what Eros once was.
We know that some of you may feel betrayed, and slightly ignored, some may have the feeling that there is more to the story than just the face value the two Town Hall meetings. We here at Bending Reality have done some research of our own and uncovered some facts. We have decided to publish this special edition to let you know some of the information we have.
Please in the following days and even months, look back at your experiences in Eros as a good thing, remember them just as you would with any good friend. Encourage your friends to make the journey with your and let’s make 3dchat.com our new home, and store our memories with all other memories.
This isn't the end of something bad for us. This is the beginning of a whole brand new adventure in a new exploration of our virtual lives.
