Life between worlds gets in the way of both.
The realm of Utherverse is a fantasy with very real space in time. The real world carries its own sense of fantasy at times. In the years of the BRM, an attempt was made to occupy and expand the connections between the two. Offers of how tos, new venues opening, warning measures and personal protections, along with life on the oxygenated world events, bands’ news, and of course entertainment and foods to try, filled the pages month after month.
As time passes the readers changed, the writers changed the course trying to steer with the prevailing winds, without veering from its original premise. Alas, like most time travel, steps fall out of place and the vision grows weary.
The time nears an end for this trip, for all the passengers, as well as the drivers.
No one is dying, thankfully, but new courses for each of us will need to be forged. Most in very separate directions, even if the subjects remain similar.
Like all moments in time, the hope is that, through and beyond the sadness of the magazine’s demise, there is joy in the accumulation of friends, stories, connections, and knowledge about somethings we did not know before reading. Maybe some of that triggered a keener interest that prevails today.
In any event, this venue has run its course. No more tomorrows for BRM as it stands today.
