What Will I Study ?
You will study for a Level 2 Qualification in Music , which will develop your skills and knowledge in many areas including performance , theory and music production . Although we do not offer a separate music technology course at Key Stage 4 , we do still encourage applications from those who specialise in this area , as long as they can play an instrument and / or sing to a good standard as well .
How Do I Apply ?
These are the questions you need to answer when you apply online ( 200 words per question ):
a ) List your practical skills ( instruments / voice / production etc .) and give a clear indication of which one you will audition with .
b ) Describe in detail your musical experience and / or training since you started secondary school .
c ) How do you think this course will help you to achieve your career goals ?
d ) What are the most important qualities needed to succeed in the music business ?
What Will I Study ?
At Post 16 there are two options available : ‘ Music Route ’ and ‘ Music Technology Route ’. For both routes we offer the UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Performance & Production , which is equivalent to three A Levels .
Whichever route you choose you will focus on building and developing your practical , theoretical and analytical skills in a number of areas whilst building your knowledge of the music business to prepare yourself for the challenging range of careers that are available within the industry .

b ) Describe in detail your musical experience and / or training since you started secondary school .
c ) Give an example of an occasion when you have demonstrated professionalism in your own work or study .
d ) What are the three most important qualities needed to succeed in the music business and why ?
