New Civil Engineer( NCE) is the magazine of the Institution of Civil Engineers and is owned and produced by media group Emap. Since it began in 1972 it now reaches 55,000 UK-based members of the ICE every week and a further 20,000 international members every month. In its editorial coverage NCE aims to inform engineers about developments in sectors ranging from water, waste and energy, to rail, roads and structures. As a news focussed magazine NCE also covers both national and international disasters affecting or involving the engineering community. Alongside the magazine NCE also runs a series of successful conferences that focus on keeping the engineering community up-to-date with government policy, business opportunities and technical developments.
