A N NUAL LU NCH British Water’s celebrated Annual Lunch will take place on Wednesday 14 June, at Westminster Church House, London. British Water is pleased to be hosting its Annual Lunch, strongly supported by our members and guests, due to the networking opportunities available and the success of previous years. The Annual Lunch is regarded as a premier networking occasion to open dialogue with new contacts, meet old friends and welcome new member companies. This key event has become a great platform to gain further visibility and highlight your business as key players within the industry. A selection of sponsorship packages are available. This event has traditionally been very well attended, and it is anticipated that 2017 will exceed past attendance records. Previous years have seen attendance from: Chief Executives of major water companies; Members of both Houses of Parliament; senior figures within the Department for International Trade; DEFRA; Ofwat; DWI; CIRIA; and the Environment Agency. British Water Prize British Water awards a monetary prize each year to the winning group project on Cranfield University’s Water and Wastewater Engineering post-graduate programme. The winning team has worked over a 10-week period on an industrially-sponsored design project. Each group of students competes for the award that recognises the highest achievement in process design and engineering. Assessment is based on submission of a comprehensive report justify ing their designs, with a detailed presentation to an invited audience from the sponsors, academics and senior industry figures. The British Water Prize has been instrumental in helping member companies achieve their corporate and social responsibility aims by bringing to the forefront talented and innovative minds in the water arena. Mouchel, 2016 sponsors of the British Water Prize, subsequently recruited a newly graduated member of the winning team as their Design Engineer.
