SECTIONAL MODEL. I chose to model the south section of the church, exploring the circulation routes and accessibility to the upper floors. I began modelling the front facade through laser cutting, to get a 1:75 scaled starting point. This allowed me to be able to produce the rest of the model to a more accurate scale, despite the lack of resources available when creating the model. The stone pillars were interesting to model, as I was able to understand the impact of the space and how I have created the interior buildings around the churches original structure. Figure 107. Figure 108. For this drawing, I overlayed a photo of the model I had produced, and began to add furniture and people. I kept the model strictly for structural modelling, as I wanted to portray the concept and use of the space through creative overlays. Figure 109. Page | 50
