juxtaposed with a painting by contemporary artist Canan Tolon. And
in the guest bedroom, sitting demurely below a portrait by Albert Mille,
last Ottoman prime minister.
The aesthetic for the living room may be relaxed, but the mixture of
fusion of East meets West. Lighting is bold and European, including
table and an early twentieth century industrial pendant in the kitchen.
Many decorative objects hark back to the Ottoman Empire. On one
table sits a cluster of copper and bronze traditional Turkish bowls,
minaret top of a mosque.
Ever the chameleon decorator, downstairs Hakan has created
ambience. In here, there is an enveloping cashmere headboard and
add a touch of whimsy. The entrance has dramatic circular oak
