ART OF LIVING
NU P U R M E H TA P U R I
A candlelit table for two, an array of delectable nibbles, and a lifetime of memories
made over glasses of merlot—date nights are always special. This May, we take
dating to a whole new level with specially curated activities for couples.
Take a culinary tour across the globe that promises to cover the shortest
distance to your loved one’s heart (pg 102). The scorching weather
often leads me to the cool corridors of art galleries to soak in the
works of the hottest new artists while I muse about the correlation
between art and fashion. Taking art out of the galleries, we explore
themes and moods that offer an experimental look at wedding
ensembles (pg 52), accessories (pg 66), and even makeup
(pg 87). We revisit the golden era of cinema with the
effortlessly beautiful Shraddha Kapoor playing muse
as she dons a sultry-yet-innocent persona (pg 130).
We also travel down under to the isles of Sri
Lanka, the gem island, to discover a world
of brilliant jewellery on offer (pg 32).
Tokens of love can manifest in many
forms and it’s the perfect month
to indulge your favourite
couple with some luxuries
(pg 164). Closing this issue,
my thoughts go to an
“One should either be
a work of art, or wear a
Chanel bag.
work of art.” And this issue
we plan to do a bit of both. ■
