The vintage theme has continued into spring 2013 but brings along with it, the lavishness and the charm of the 1920’s. As you walk into your reception space the aroma of the abundance of flowers meets you and your guests with the sweetness of spring. Your vision comes to life with the use of feathers, pearls, fringe details and beads, blended in and amongst the volumes of flowers which are set in varying sized vessels filling the room in every available space. Luxury blooms, and still a huge favourite amongst our brides, are the Orchids, which will be spilling out of every vase. The trusted favourite, the classic rose, brings the vintage feel with the wide variety of colours available. Pastel colours have been a favourite for brides over the past few years Brides Essence.com - Issue 9 and is still colouring the scene. Living walls designed with flowers creates a beautiful backdrop for photographs and for guests to tie special notes onto for the bride and groom. Where last year the idea was to have that “just picked from the garden” feel, designs this year are more controlled. To complete our bride’s style of elegance, larger cascading designs are now suggested, with unique ideas being included to complement each individual bride. There is a big move to outdoor ceremonies where beautiful arches, made with an abundance of flowers, frame the bride and groom. Designs created with petals line the aisle which will lead the way towards your future husband. This year there is no minimalism, just pure luxury. This does not however mean that you need to break the bank for your budget on flowers. Work with your florist and discuss your ideas together and you will be able to bring this vision to reality within your budget. 30
