Make your own almond milk

50 Minutes, plus overnight soaking, makes 500 ml., Easy
blanched almonds 250g
maple syrup or honey 1 tsp
Method
STEP 1
Soak the blanched almonds in water
overnight. Drain, then blitz with 500ml water
and maple syrup or honey in a blender or
food processor until smooth. Strain through
muslin or cheesecloth (you may want to do
this twice), discarding the purée. Taste the
almond milk and add more syrup if you prefer
a sweeter drink or add more water if you
prefer a thinner consistency. Shake or stir
before drinking.
