had worked there and shared lots of knowledge about the mine . They also filled us in on the High School which is incredible just to drive by it . We headed back to Duluth and on the way Judy spots a Stroh ’ s beer sign worthy of back roads at a little dive bar so we stopped in for a Grain Belt . Back in Duluth we headed over the big bridge to Superior for some dive bars and brewski ’ s . Lot ’ s of fun . We also picked up a sign for Barry Travis in Superior and muled it back to St . Paul . As we were headed south on Sunday morning Dave Gorham texts me and says you have to eat breakfast at the Lazy Moose in Moose Lake . We stopped and it was amazing . I had a Northern omelete with wild rice , mushrooms , swiss cheese and holandaise sauce . They make the best English muffin bread I ’ ve ever had and homemade jams . Next thing you know it ’ s June and we had a beer sign in the shop that Judy framed for a guy in Colorado . We couldn ’ t find someone to mule it back to Denver . ABA was about to take place in Greely and we decided to drive out and deliver it in person and surprise Miners as they were attending the convention . We loaded up the truck and headed west . We rolled into Norfolk , NE around 11 a . m . and stopped at the Mint Bar to see Heath Henery . His daughter invited us in and said Heath had already left for Greely . We enjoyed a couple of Coors on draught and the signs in the Mint . Then we headed for Heath ’ s Mexican restaurant . The food was excellent and more signs to enjoy . Our GPS took us across Nebraska through the sandhills and places I ’ ve never seen . It ’ s some very pretty country . We rolled into Greely Wednesday evening and checked into the hotel . We saw the Miner ’ s and snuck up behind them and surprised them with our presence . The convention was fun . We went to Estes Park on day . We prowled around Greely in the evenings and just had a good time . We even bought some signs to bring home including a Potosi , Northern Brewing , some Grain Belt and a couple of 3D Coors signs that were just plain cool . Continued page 8 .
