1st Annual Bago Beer Bash

Our first annual Bago Beer Bash started off a little soggy with rain and drizzle . People from all over the country were showing up for this event . The party got going in the Birds Nest with cold beers , music and Karaoke . Lots of fun was had by everyone in attendance . Around midnight folks were shutting it down and getting to bed so they could be up bright and early for the show . As is the case with most outdoor shows set-up started early with everyone trying to claim their spot in the grass . Vendors lined up and the food truck was on site serving bisquits and gravy with some hot coffee . The rain was threatining and did start to spit for just a short while . Then Mother Nature began to cooperate and the weather turned out pretty nice after all . No rain ! We had many walk-ins and vendors were busy selling . Lots of breweriana found new homes on this day . As they day passed it was time for lunch and the food truck was a big hit with steak sandwhiches , brats and more . Cold beers were shared over stories of finds and signs and cans and anything about beer . We had an excellent raffle with fewer prizes but they were of good quality . There were many generous donations to the raffle and the auction which had 10 nice items including some game used bats from the 1987 Twins World Series . As the show wound down the party in the Birds Nest resumed with a somewhat smaller crowd . Those that were staying over or camping partied into the evening with more beer music and fun . Sunday morning we fired up the Blackstone and served eggs , sausage and grits . What a great time ! Next years show looks to be even better .
