So it looks like we finally made it through one nasty winter. Upside is we probably won’t have to shovel any more snow but the other side of the coin says to get ready for the monsoon season. As long as the brewery doesn’t flood out we are good. Got some things going on for the spring and summer on a local level, first being the Spring Ding at the Schell’s Brewery on April 28Th. Always a fun time no matter what the weather does for the day so we will see you there. Should be a little beer to drink, a little trading going on and lunch and a short meeting to name a few of the activities. Please bring along an excess item or two from your collection for the raffle. Exploring the possibility of another show at the Hauenstein Brewery in conjunction with Hermanfest. Had a good time at last years and it sure appeared that a lot of merchandise changed hands that day. Dave Harmening was a very gracious host and hopefully we get to do it again. Sometime this summer I would like to organize a paint crew to put a coat or two on the wagon we use for Stubiefest and the Parade of Lights. Anyone with an interest in helping with that please let me know. Enough about business. One of my daughters recently finished a section of her basement off into a nice play room. The walls looked a little bare and old dad saw a perfect place to put some breweriana on display. Dug through some of my stuff and found a few pieces that I thought would look good there and put them “on loan”. Might just be the first spark to get a brand new collector fired up for the hobby. Need some folks to pick up the torch after our generation has gone to the big beer garden in the sky - might as well start now right ? Until next time - carry on and drink wisely.
