Brewings Vol 39 Issue 2 | Page 2

Hello from your new Pres! First off I would like to thank the outgoing Pres Tim Tanley for the great job he did. Well it was one of those elections where I was in the wrong place at the right time. Here s a little bit on how I got started collecting. My family lived on the west side of Flandrau State Park in New Ulm. My brother and I would go to the park dump and see what we could find. We started finding all these different beer cans and bottles from all over the U.S. We couldn t believe why people would throw all these cool looking cans and botttles away. So we started to them home and I was hooked. Here s some old news by now, but since the guy across the border didn t give me a final deadline I m putting this in anyway. The Christmas party has come and gone. I hope everyone had a good time. Everyone should thank Lori and Mark for hosting the event and if you re in the B&L you should thank Rick and Bill for letting us have our antique beer tasting and raffle. Another thanks to Kristi (from Schells) for getting Schell s to donate the Season Beer Sign. It really helped the bottom line for the raffle. One more thanks to Dave for donating the cool Hamm s sign. We didin t sell all the tickets but we still had a good profit. I acquired a last minute Christmas present, a Schell s Deer Head neon. That s all for now. Have a cold one for me and I hope to see you at the Spring Show on Sunday April 30th. Gary Sprenger P.S. still working on the wall!
