Time for a Brewings TV update. I had people come up to me at Guzzle and ask where
has Brewings TV been lately and also to tell me how much they enjoyed the videos.
I certainly appreciate the compliments and I am working on getting production on
this started up again. Late last winter into Spring and early Summer I was working
on finishing the remainder of my basement including a new space to display beer
signs, a bathroom and the studio area where I shoot Brewings TV. This is not
completely finished but it is done to the point where I can set the studio up and
start recording soon. Also I
found a new piece of
equipment that I am going
to get. It’s a teleprompter.
This is what they use on the
news on Television so the
person on camera can look
at the camera and still read
their lines. This one is very
cool and very affordable too.
I can’t wait to get it. One of
the most difficult things
about doing this show is
trying to memorize and speak all the lines on camera. This way I can script the
show and simply read it like they do on TV. In other news we have an exciting new
show coming on Nov 5th at Mankato Brewing in North Mankato. This show is free
for the vendors and the public. The taproom will be open during the show and
there’s plenty of floor space available. They have about five tables so you will
probably want to bring your own table for displaying your merchandise. There’s a
nice hotel about 4 blocks from the brewery right off Highway 169 if you want to
stay Friday and/or Saturday night. I know Jay and Teri Martin are staying Friday
night. Maybe this will turn into a night of room to room trading as this show
progresses. We have taked about the possibility of getting a bus tour to Schell’s on
Friday afternoon in the future once this gets going. This could include stops in
Nicollet and Courtland. Lots of possibilities for this show going forward. Plus
Mankato has some really nice bars and pubs to explore as well. So let’s have a
great turn out and make this a great event!
