Springfest in Key W

Here it is spring 2024 . Typically , we ’ re getting geared up to go to Springfest at Everett McClay in the Twin Ci we ’ ve done for the past couple of years . It seems like our time there keeps getting pushed further out into s ary , and we watched the Superbowl . Last year it was mid-February and this year the first 12 days of March . We went to Des Moines to spend the night before getting on the airplane the next day at 6 a . m ., so we deci go bar hopping . We checked into our hotel . Then we headed off to the Highlife Lounge , that ’ s always a favo signs , and they have Hamm ’ s and Grain Belt on tap . And the atmosphere is just simply amazing if you ’ re a lo had a few brewskis and the ladies had a couple of drinks and we decided we would take in some dive bars . East Village neighborhood and found a sketchy dive bar called the Locust Tap . The urinal was hanging off t tionable the building was old . And as much as I love old buildings this was showing some deferred mainten had a beer or two and laughed about where we were . Next we went back across the river to Carl ’ s Place , w an interesting place that had some beer signs , nothing really old , but still fun stuff to look at . They have Gra that I ever tried Malort which has this reputation of tasting horrible . It isn ’ t very good , but then the bartende worse than the Malort . I can ’ t even remember what it was called . But it was wretched . After that , we decide We had to get up at 4 am to catch our flight . The next morning we got to the airport and we sat on the run we got checked in and finally the plane took off for Washington DC . We fly into DC and as we arrive , they w runway because a Big Shot , presumably Sleepy Joe was going up in his helicopter . We had to circle in some times . Every time the plane would bounce in the air from the turbulence Big Bird swore it was going to snap washing machine . We finally landed and had a little layover and some lunch . We got on our next plane , wh Key West . We were wearing shirts that were promoting Big Bird ’ s birthday and the stewardess was enamor
