Stubiefest 2018
What started out looking like a bust of a weekend due to weather turned out
to be a ton of fun for all who attended.
Friday evening began with the mandatory pizza party and a few rounds on
the new giant dice table. A little bonfire kept us toasty while tipping a few.
Thanks to Rollie and his son for supplying the old grove firewood. A nice
mellow evening with the temp dropping to a little under 40 degrees ended
earlier than usual but I think everyone was saving it up for Saturday.
The 12th annual hayride only required one wagon this year with 16
riders bundled up against the cold. A normal year would require two
wagons and 40 to 50 fun loving folks filling them up. The route was
left up to the riders this year, which started out with the usual west,
north, east and north jogging to get to the scenic river bottom road.
