3 . What are some ( or one ) of your favorite memories while studying at the NHTV ? That would be working in gamelabs with motivated people , crunching through nights to get the best out of our game which we could accomplish in the time given .
4 . What is your proudest moment in the 4 years of studying ?
It ’ s hard to choose here between two of my gamelab projects . One of them was Reflect , the worlds first game created in a real-time path tracing engine . We needed to do a project for a client and Dr . Bikker was kind enough to let us be the first to create a game demo in his engine . The second was Purgatory , an online 4-player co-op game in which you fight against the hordes of heaven as the four horsemen of the apocalypse trying to maintain balance between heaven and hell , while heaven is trying to invade the portals of hell .
5 . What would you like to say to students who are currently struggling to figureout what they want to do after their study ?
Get an internship abroad . I ’ m not saying this will be the best thing you will ever experience , but if you ’ re unsure on what you want , then that internship will tell you if you want AAA game development or not . Even for international students this remains true , because yes , you ’ re currently abroad , but working on a game abroad , and doing education abroad , are two different things .
6 . What are you currently working on ?
At Guerilla Games I ’ m currently working as an AI / Gameplay programmer on Horizon : Zero Dawn .
