Why did you choose to obtain a Master ’ s degree after IMEM ? During my time at IMEM I had a great time as a student in the Content specialization . But it felt like I had more in me , so I wanted to develop my knowledge and skills to a more specialized area of expertise . At IMEM , I discovered the wondrous world of Transmedia Storytelling and wrote some researches on it . After my bachelor thesis landed me an invitation to a PhD program , I knew this was the direction I wanted to go . Transmedia is great and I want to share my knowledge with as many as possible . At the Master ’ s program , I knew I would get the right tutorship and guidance by the staff to make a difference in the young and relatively unexplored field of Transmedia .
If you have any advice for students who are not sure if they want to pursue a Master ’ s degree , what would it be ? During the Master ’ s program , you get to be on the forefront of innovation and contribute to something new . Thanks to the Master ’ s program I got an awesome job as e-Learning Architect in Eindhoven , was able to present my research to important people and create a portfolio as a young media professional . But most important ; the Master gives you the opportunity to push your limits . It gives you one step ahead of other graduates on the job market . So just do it and if you ’ re going for it , go for it all the way !
