Vanessa was mainly focused on finding a content-related job for a magazine . She searched a lot for a suitable company and finally managed to find something in her home country of Bulgaria . The process of applying was fairly simple : she wrote an e-mail to the editor-in-chief and after he showed interest , she had to send a cover letter , some articles she had previously written and do a Skype interview . A couple weeks later she got the needed confirmation .
A few things to know about Bulgaria is that it ’ s a very cheap country compared to the Netherlands , and finding an apartment is fairly easy . Vanessa found a nice apartment , which she shares with her boyfriend , and is only a ten-minute drive away from her office . She stresses that working in Glamour is very demanding , so after work she is too tired to engage in a lot of social events .
Her responsibilities include managing the Facebook page , keeping the audience interested , and writing articles for the website and the magazine itself . She has made friends with several colleagues , who are kind and helpful . Vanessa ’ s advice for future interns is : don ’ t stress too much on landing a job at a huge company . After all , the goal of your placement is to actually learn new things and smaller companies can pay much more personal attention to you .
