Fatten up your piggy
Do you want to make that big trip or buy that expensive phone, but you only have
5 cents on your bank account? Here are some tips to save money:
1. Do not spend all of your money on
schoolbooks.
Unfortunately, schoolbooks are very
expensive. You can find your study
books at the school library and rent
them for free or check out google
scholar for chapters of the book. If
you still want to buy them, checkout
Marktplaats for second hand books.
Besides that, you probably do not use
most of the books.
4.Make use of your student card or
coupons with discount codes.
You can get a lot of discount with your
student card or with coupons with
discount codes, it can save you a lot
of money. You can also buy a Kneak
pass. With this pass you get a lot of
discount from different stores for
example MacDonalds, Hunkemöller
and Game Mania.
5. Buy your software on Surfspot.
With your student email, you can buy
software on Surfspot for way less
money than on other websites. An
Adobe subscription for all their apps
costs €725,85 a year, on Surfspot it only
costs €132,75 for a year subscription.
2.Prepare your own meals for school.
Dining out or buying your lunch at
the cafeteria at school is way more
expensive than preparing your own
meals.
3.Make a budget and stick to it.
If you make a budget, you know what
expenses you will have this month. An
easy way to make a budget is in Excel.
You can make different categories of
monthly costs like groceries, clothing
and leisure so you can keep track of
how much you spend on each cost
6. Share your Netflix, Videoland and
Spotify subscriptions with friends.
On Netflix and Videoland you can have
up to five accounts and on Spotify you
can have a family subscription which
is also a lot cheaper.
