“In Germany, we can’t find anything
according to your request. You will
have to see something in other
European countries. There are many
excellent places providing education in
English”. “Yes, but I would like to study
in the German language,” I said, with
some disappointment. - “Sorry, but in
Germany, there is nothing that could
be interesting to you. Germany is not
the country where you can go study
creative advertising. There simply is
nothing like that.”
From that day, I faced my reality. My
mother persuaded me for several
years to go study abroad just like my
older sisters did. My German teacher
predicted me a bright future and said:
“Aleksey, one day your family will be
proud of you. You must go study in
Germany. Even she spent a big amount
of time before our classes to drive into
my hard-nosed head that I should enter
the magistracy abroad.
At my university, I bothered the
teachers. They saw me like a gangster,
who allowed himself to express his
own opinion on lectures or laugh at the
university. I knew that the fire burning
deep inside me was so strong that it was
beyond my power to hold it. I started
thinking that maybe somewhere there
is another side of education and what
I see in my university is just the tip of
