13th CENTURY
Whilst the Chinese were already shooting fireworks into the air for two centuries , Europeans
discovered black powder in the 13th century. It
was shot in the air as well, although the inventors
had another purpose: they called it: ‘gunpowder’.
15th CENTURY
Early methods of printing were combined in the
new movable typing technology. A printing press
made it possible to print 3600 pages a day and
this gave Luther and Erasmus the possibility to
become the Dan Brown and J.K. Rowling of their
time.
