HEALTH
19th CENTURY
Might as well be called the “Golden Age of Quackery”.
Entrepreneurs started to sell medicines with even more
unusual ingredients than names. Take the popular cocaine
toothache drops, for example.
20th CENTURY
In a logical sequence, mental illness was accepted as being a disease in the 20th century and Psychiatry became
a medical specialization. Due to wars and pandemics all
over the world, medication was brought to a higher level.
NOWADAYS
We live in an age were the focus lays on prevention and
long-term protection. New technologies make it possible
to cure all sorts of ailments that come with the modern-day
way of living. Think about vitamin-pills, anti-age cream and
anti-hangover medicines.
