Zoo Members —
you’ll receive a Dinosaur punch car
G rab your pith helmet and explore the world of dinosaurs!
After five years, this temporary exhibit is back and brings new
adventures for the whole family. Meet 16 of the most advanced
animatronic creatures modeled after the latest paleontological
findings as you discover the connection between non-avian
and avian dinosaurs. Here are some of the animals you may
encounter on your journey:
• The crocodile-like
Suchomimus
• A pack of tiny-yet-mighty
Coelophysis
• Quetzalcoatlus, a flying
reptile the size of a small
airplane
• The king himself:
Tyrannosaurus rex
Although these prehistoric creatures are certainly the star attractions,
the Dinosaur Discovery Center is not to be missed. Uncover a replica
Tyrannosaurus skeleton at a “dig site,” snap a selfie with giant dinosaur
bones, see and touch real dinosaur fossils and speak with the paleo
team as they prepare actual bones unearthed during multiple dinosaur
expeditions to Wyoming and Montana this past year.
Dilophosaurus
Everyone knows me as the acid spitting dinosaur
from my movie debut, but there is no evidence
of this. However, something really cool about
me is, like you, we both have opposable thumbs.
T. rex Brachiosaurus Citipati
You’ve definitely heard of me! I know I look
scary in all those pictures, but I’m actually not a
bad guy. I have a huge skull with powerful jaws
lined with 7-inch serrated teeth. In contrast to my
massive legs, I have relatively short, small arms.
Although they seem vestigial and useless, they
are powerful enough to lift over 450 pounds!
