• Keep our waters clean of chemicals and
garbage (especially plastic bags)
• Properly dispose of fishing line and hooks

se turtle-excluder devices on commercial
fishing vessels to reduce entanglement and
drowning in fishing nets and gear
• Follow anti-poaching laws and “lights-out”
laws during turtle nesting season
