A LETTER FROM THE PASTOR
Hi Church Family,
After a fire destroyed our sanctuary
in the early 1950s, a new sanctuary, the
one we still worship in, was built. When
our sanctuary was dedicated in 1954 the
following summarized words were spoken:
“Our new sanctuary will be dedicated…
at the end of which may we pause in
this history of the First Baptist Church of
Brenham, Texas with fervent prayers and hopes that someone will

and at the end of all human usefulness may all receive the great
blessing of our Lord, “Well done, thou good and faithful servants.
You have been faithful over many things. Enter thou into the joy of
the Lord.” Matthew 25:21.” What I love about this quote is that our
ancestors were people of vision. They did not want us to maintain
and not move forward. Instead, they prayed that “someone will

the title and easements before moving forward with a vote. We
have tentatively rescheduled the vote for Wednesday, March 19 at
6:00 pm in the Sanctuary. If we vote to purchase the 33 acres, we
will also vote on allowing our current 51 acres to be put up for sale.
My goal now and throughout this relocation process is and will be
for us to grow in our faith in God and watch how He supplies our
needs. My hope is when we come to the end of relocating, there
