“FOLLOW ME”
Follow me. Two words that make one sentence that
have changed the world. I doubt that they were
first spoken together by Jesus, but I am certain that the weight and significance
that they carried when spoken in His voice have never been stronger. Just two
words given as an instruction by Jesus to His would be apostles would turn the
world upside down. Jesus asked men to follow Him. He did not say where He
was going. Aside from being fishers of men, His command came with no real
instruction as to what they would really be doing. This two word command did
not even give a time span for the term of commitment. However, this command
spoken by this particular man caused these men to surrender their livelihood,
their families, their homes and even their social status in order to simply, blindly,
follow Him.

Fast forward about two-thousand years to a more modern age - an age
of technology and prosperity. It is a day when we have the right to be wrong.
