STUDENT MINISTRY NEWS WHAT A FULL MONTH FEBRUARY WAS! STUDENT LIFE CONFERENCE The Student Ministry kicked off February by attending the Student Life Conference at Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. We took 28 students and adults for an overnight intense weekend of worship and Bible study and we had a blast! The theme of the conference was “Sight Unseen” and focused on living life in this world in light of eternity. There were several fantastic speakers there and great worship. It was wonderful to be in a sanctuary full of over 1,000 students worshiping! Students were challenged to live a life for Christ out in the open. We also got to celebrate together with one of our students over a life-changing decision for eternity! Nothing makes me happier and prouder than to see students smiling, hi-fiving, and hugging one another over someone giving their life to Christ. I want to thank those who gave to help sponsor students for this trip. You need to know that this directly affected one student whose life was changed for eternity. He was able to attend because of your support! MEN’S CAKE BAKE The 2nd annual Men’s Cake Bake can go down in the history books as a fabulous success. You blew me away again with your support of our students! I made one of my best cakes ever and it barely made it into the top 15. We are blessed to have some enthusiastic men who have risen to the challenge, put on their aprons and baked some fabulous cakes! Through the sale we raised $6,919.30 for our student to go to camp. We are going to Student Life Camp in Durango, Colorodo. I would like to thank a few people: Thank you so much to Bobbye Marrs, my lovely wife, for preparing the potatoes and drinks for the night. Thank you to Coach Oehrlein and his father who smoked and donated the meat. And boy was it GOOD!!! Thank you so much to all the parents that helped in the kitchen and the massive clean up. Thank you to Doug Colling who was our auctioneer. And especially THANK YOU to all the men who made cakes. And to all of you who were brave enough to buy a cake that a man made to support our students…A Super Big Thank you!!! WEDNESDAY NIGHT I ask that you be in prayer for our Wednesday night Bible Study group. God is doing some amazing things with our time together in the Student Center. We are seeing a number of new faces and excitement that only He could bring. So happy to be serving along side of you here in Brenham, - Bro Chad 10
