All of Plumtree Baby ’ s materials seamlessly integrate . This curriculum is based on our comprehensive 24-page Breastfeeding your Baby ( abbreviated BYB ) parent book ( right ) which can be used by parents as a guide in class and as a takehome reference .
The book , along with this curriculum , has a corresponding PowerPoint ( below ) with 66 slides including three topics and the Getting Started with Breastfeeding video .
Other complementary resources are available from Plumtree Baby including handouts and posters , most available in English or Spanish .

In our parent books , wherever you see this plum symbol , you will find an important topic highlighted . Often , there are several different options or approaches for these topics . Encourage parents to discuss questions and preferences with their partner and health care provider ( doctor or lactation professional ). Doing so will help parents make informed decisions about the best approach for their family .
This curriculum is based on the PowerPoint pictured here ( BYB 2023 , 4th edition ). Please note that if you rearrange your PowerPoint slides or you have an older edition of the Breastfeeding PowerPoint , you will need to adjust references to slide numbers throughout this curriculum in order to accurately reflect your presentation .
This curriculum assumes that the user has a strong understanding of these topics and has completed lactation educator training and / or earned educator certification .
