ACTIVITY: BREASTFEEDING SCENARIOS

Section 2: Breastfeeding Challenges or Warm-Up / Wrap-Up activity
To reinforce the understanding of possible breastfeeding situations, challenges or discomforts and ways to handle them. Encourages brainstorming, collaboration and discussion.
Print the following pages on card stock with the scenarios on the front and answers on the back, cut out and laminate.
Preview
Divide the class into small groups and hand each group 2-3 cards. Direct the group to read one card then discuss possible solutions or methods of handling the situation. Encourage each group member share one idea. After discussion, have the reader turn the card over and read the tips on the back. Allow time for final thoughts. Then, move on to the next card.
Alternative Methods
Read and discuss a scenario to introduce or wrap up / reinforce a topic.
