One of the recurring themes in this book is that our relationship with the
LCME has not always been what you would call smooth. In this chapter,
you’ll get two more examples.
Part of what was groundbreaking about our medical school was its library. It
didn’t look anything like a traditional library. Because of our distributed model
with faculty and students spread out across the state, we planned from the beginning
to facilitate access by creating a digital library. Hardly any traditional paper
