UPMC Health Plan is the new medical, prescription drug coverage, dental and vision discount provider as of September 1, 2013. If you live outside of Western PA, your medical coverage will be administered through the PHCS MultiPlan network – except for individuals in Ohio – you have coverage through MMO. To verify if your provider is In-Network under the new plan, visit www.upmchealthplan.com and click on Find a Doctor. You will find links to verify providers and hospitals for in- and out-of-area participants.
In addition to regular welding maintenance and repairs on much of our equipment, support operations in the weld shop has been instrumental in building the temporary support system for the Ironton Bridge project. Anthony Ciarimboli and his crew have handled and/or shipped in excess of 50 loads of temporary platform welded in the weld shop to Ironton. To date, our drivers have shipped 923 loads, driven 190,000 miles and handled 234 permit loads.
Soon they will begin work on the temporary platform for the Hawk’s Nest Dam Stabilization project, in which the beams and structure are so massive that some might wonder why it is just temporary.
our drill and dirt equipment, including the 4100 and M65 crawler cranes, has kept this crew hard at work. Another noteworthy mention is the superb painting that John McLean has done on our equipment.
As 2013 quickly comes to a close, I want to thank our key team members for their efforts in making SUS successful in our projects this year: Lee Murdoch - Asst. As SUS continues to grow, there is no room for complacency when it comes to safety. To this end, we are ramping up our safety audits and site visits to help oversee team member safety and processes. The goal is to gain feedback from team members in the field to provide insight into best practices and methods to increase overall safety.
