Inside the Lyrics: Broken EP by KVNG wanted her to be a part of, but she couldn't see what I saw and that had me like Woah. I drew on that feeling and those emotions to really deliver the vocals on the project. So with Teardrops, in the verses I’m using my lower register a lot, it's very steady which allows you to really focus and hone in on the words I'm saying. B! 43 process what we've experienced, whether it be a relationship or worse. I think it's important for men, whether they are modern or older, to be able to process their pain. I am happy that I can play a part in encouraging people to have that conversation. BRASH! Which song(s) from the EP do you BRASH! How do you want listeners to receive relate to the most? the EP, Broken? KVNG: Sad Songs is one of my favourites.  It’s KVNG: For me, the most important thing I want people to take away from Broken is that I want them to relate to what I’m feeling - so they can really feel it . This all speaks to my name KVNG, I spell it K-V-N-G, the V stands for the 5 senses- feel, hear, taste, smell, see.  I want my fans, my listeners to have a sensational experience when experiencing my music. What they hear, feel and see evokes relatable emotions and experiences. I just want them to feel that's the main thing because for me for a long time I was numb. This experience and the creation of this project forced me to acknowledge my emotions. Whether you feel uncomfortable or it relates to something you are going through right now or it reminds you of something you went through in the past. I just want you to feel. BRASH! Do you hope that the lyrics and music within this EP encourages the modern-day man to be more expressive with their feelings in relationships? KVNG: When I was creating it, it was the intention for me to heal and to express. Funnily enough, the amazing thing about sharing this is that a lot of my male friends and people I am around have started to express their feelings to me or said that they relate to a lot of the things I was saying in these songs. For me, that's very rewarding. I think it's a very important conversation to have. It centres around mental health and the way men process grief, in this case the death of a relationship. Focusing on grief is not about sucking it up and just getting on with it. We as men need to be able to one of the songs I connect with the most. You can hear the raw emotion in the track.  In the way I lay it all out on the table, you can literally hear the pain. The song is almost like me warning somebody else, don't go through what I went through, don't go down this road it only leads to these sad songs. And I think at that point that was really where I was at. I was cynical about love. Sad Songs really hits home and reminds me of being in that place. Thankfully, I am notin that place now, which is amazing. BRASH! What’s next for you for the upcoming year?  KVNG: We’ve got a lot of surprises and exciting plans for next year!  Definitely follow me on socials - @thisisKVNG to get all the updates!  There will be a tour but not in the traditional sense...I want to do things my way and really intentionally connect with the fans. So I am working with the team to build out some ideas on how we can do that in the most impactful way. Expect loads of music and collaborations. I am looking to work with amazing artists from all over the world, so that's a priority for me next year. Facebook.com/ThisIsKVNG Twitter: @ThisIsKVNG IG: ThisIsKVNG
