How did you develop the concept for Broken EP as the aftermath of a relationship through the lens of the “modern-day man”? KVNG: I would say that the concept was developed through me experiencing that and trying to understand how to navigate those feelings and even acknowledging that those feelings were real. So when I was making the project it was more of a healing process for me. Being able to articulate what it was that I was feeling. At first, I was just creating. I eventually started to realize what I was talking about was something that was deeper rooted. By the end of creating the project, I definitely felt like I got closure. BRASH! How did your personal experiences inspire creating and recording the tracks for the EP? KVNG: It played in all of it. Everything from Teardrops to Woah was my reality, it was exactly how I felt. With Woah, I envisioned a future with my ex. I pictured the life that I touching on the subjects of love, loss, regret; in a poetic style combined with elements of trap, dancehall, and R&B.
