B! 28 artist spotlight D’MEETRI Photo Credit: Jake Bugella Singer, rapper, and songwriter D’MEETRI (born Dominique Demetrice Farrar) grew up as a foster kid in St. Paul, Minnesota since the age of 3, quickly gravitating to music all throughout his early schooling years. He studied music production and recording in high school, and immediately upon graduation, he decided to take his musical career seriously -- which meant moves from St. Paul, to Atlanta, Georgia, to finally Los Angeles, CA, where he now resides. A multi- faceted talent, he has pumped out over 100 songs (both songs he has written, arranged and produced vocals on, and recorded), and landed major features on hit shows such as Black Ink, Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta. D’Meetri’s entertainment career does not stop at music -- in 2018, he nabbed a key role in Season 5 of ABC's #1 comedy, black-ish, as Junior’s roommate (WATCH). He has also starred as the lead in a Nayip Ramos short, Allen, alongside Madison Iseman. He also served as an official spokesperson for State Farm’s “Buckle Up” campaign for teens, and most recently, won Best R&B/Soul Artist at the 2018 Hollywood Music in Media Awards. What’s next for D’Meetri? After dropping his first official album “Forgotten Son” Independently through his own imprint “One Life Nation” or “OLN”, this summer & successfully gaining over 50,000 streams.
