On April 14, CHUCK SCOTT received
the Julie Di Girolamo Volunteerism
Award for his contributions to PAMA.
Calling himself an “habitual volunteer” , Chuck feels it’s important to
give back to the community. He was
also recognized as Brampton Arts
Council Arts Person of the Year in
2013. Not only an habitual volunteer but an habitual winner as well!
Congratulations, Chuck!
On June 20, at 12:00PM, five murals
by NORBERT AUGUSTINE will be
unveiled in Vivian Lane in downtown
Brampton. Installed on the north
wall of Cyclepath, each depicts significant Brampton buildings with
carved, reflective bicycles. Made
possible through the PATF (Public
Arts Task Force), these strategically lit
murals will offer a unique experience
both day and night. An exhibition of
Norbert’s work will also be on display at Beaux-Arts from June 13-27.

GLENN MCFARLANE’s new solo CD
“Music and Friends” has been getting a lot of recognition and airplay,
both on the airwaves and the internet. As the title implies, “Music and
Friends” is a collection of original
songs celebrating the two things
that are very important to him. The
songs are fun and lively folk songs
that reflect his East Coast roots,
along with strong elements of country, folk-rock and world music. CD

tured open time to mix and mingle
and review all the brochures and
business cards on the tables provided. Post presentation was a chance
to connect with people based on
what was heard from the podium.
And, a chance to enjoy the food and
beverages provided.
All in all a great member focused
event that attracted over 40 people.
A total of 13 - 3 minute pitches were
delivered.
And, as is tradition the light hearted
part is that any speaker going over
3 minutes was “gonged” by staff
with sounds from a smartphone.
And, yes there was at least one
instance where this was used! Prior
to the speakers there was unstruc-
