Many students take the Bar because it is“ easier” then the CLP. But what many don’ t realise is that the Bar has an estimate 40-55 % pass rate at the first attempt. It’ s very common to fail at least one paper( most of my friends failed up to a total of 4), and require ressiting the relevant exam in August. Ethics and Civil litigation has a very high fail rate in particular.
On this note, I highly advise students to purchase flexible flight tickets when it comes to returning home / family members coming over to celebrate, just in case an unexpected fail occurred. ¾ of my friends did not perform as expected, and as a result had to fly back to resit or were not able to travel with their family who had intended to celebrate.
