In-Sessional Study Skills Support
Pre-Sessional English
The In-Sessional Study Skills Support course is for international BPP students
who wish to, or are required to, improve their English and study skills while
studying their undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme. It is
undertaken in the first term alongside your degree studies. You may be
required to attend this course as a condition of starting your degree or other
programme. If this is the case, this support will be a compulsory part of
your studies.
The Pre-Sessional English course is designed for international students who
want or need to improve their English before beginning their BPP degree or
foundation programme. Successful completion of this course and assessments
will allow you to progress directly on to your chosen programme, without
needing to re-take any external English language tests. You will have the
opportunity to increase your knowledge of academic English and develop
your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
