Christmas Tree Festival 2026
Sadly, summer is now over and the autumn leaves are appearing. However, do not despair, this means we are preparing for the 2026 Christmas Tree Festival. Something for all to look forward to! This year’ s theme will be
“ Come and Join the Celebration”
The festival opens on Friday 11 December at 10am and runs to Tuesday 15 December 2026. There will once more be brightly lit trees in the church grounds, from Advent Sunday throughout the Christmas period, and many imaginatively decorated trees inside the church for all to enjoy.
We are now seeking sponsors for the outdoor trees and both sponsors and decorators for the indoor trees and we hope that this year’ s theme will strike the fancy of the more artistically inclined in our community. Jean Hammond( jeanandrob @ live. co. uk) is sending out invitation letters to those who have participated previously, and leaflets will be available for people whose interest might be sparked for the first time.
The now traditional Carols around the Trees will take place on Saturday 12 December at 3.00pm, outdoors, followed by a visit from Santa. Hot dogs and glühwein will be served to celebrate this occasion!
We are delighted to announce that Star Flutes have confirmed that they will play for us once more on Sunday 13 December, from 2-5pm.
