Could this be it... is summer here?
Let’ s be honest, there’ s nothing more unpredictable than the British weather. Despite today’ s heat, I’ m not confident enough to retire my winter jumpers just yet. In a burst of optimism, I’ ve recently added the gym to my knee‐strengthening mission, although I still prefer swimming. A note to self, however: when it’ s hot, go early. It took me a full twenty minutes to peel myself out of my sports bra. Dignity? Long gone.

Still, this glimpse of summer is wonderfully uplifting. The longer days, the lighter evenings, the simple joy of stepping outside without three layers and a woolly hat. It all feels like a gentle nudge towards brighter months ahead. And with so many local events popping up it’ s the perfect time to get out, explore, and enjoy everything our area has to offer.
