CompassionART Café to launch in Hemel Hempstead
Our CompassionART Café will open in Hemel Hempstead on Wednesday 21 January, offering a creative and welcoming space for anyone who has experienced bereavement or who may be feeling lonely due to illness.
The café will run from 2pm to 3.30pm every third Wednesday of the month and is being delivered in partnership with The Liberty Tea Rooms & Community Hub.
The Hemel Hempstead café will become our third CompassionART Café.
CompassionART Cafés are drop-in sessions that provide a safe space for people to come together and express themselves through art. They are aimed at anyone who has experienced bereavement, and those who might be lonely due to illness. The sessions include a guided arts and crafts activity and provide a safe space to chat and connect with others, share memories and create lasting connections over a cup of tea.
Each session offers gentle, creative activities designed to support emotional wellbeing. The programme will develop over time but will include: Watercolours, Textile art, Collage and Ceramic painting. These activities give people the chance to slow down, focus on something calming and build friendships within their community.
