Hemel Rotary ’ s Santa Sleigh On a street near you !
2024 is the 9th year of our Hemel Rotary Santa Sleigh . Bringing joy to the children ( and adults ) of Hemel Hempstead , Kings Langley and Abbots Langley .
Last year our Santa Sleigh activity raised £ 17,500 to donate back to the local community . We are hoping to do even better this year . Since 2017 , the Hemel Rotary Santa Sleigh has raised well over £ 100,000 , which has been donated to 50 + small local charities and community groups in Hemel , Kings Langley and Abbots Langley . These fund-raising events are “ manned ” by local volunteers as well as Rotary members . All profit raised from Sleigh events goes to local good causes .
25 street by street routes will be undertaken between 23rd November and 23rd December and we will hold 9 static collections , giving children the opportunity to have their photograph taken with Santa or Mrs Claus .
We are again extremely grateful to our collector organisations who help with each street-by-street route , and to “ Friends of Rotary ” who help us with static collections .
