him and I think the fact he's training no with his uncle as his main trainer, and with the benefit of his family around him, it has proven to be a perfect combination.

The rest of the week went by in a blur of skipping, pad work, sparring, running, press-ups, and chicken....lot's of chicken. The training is always interesting and fun (If you haven't seen the youtube clips of the Team doing shuttle runs with each other on their backs in a snowy field then look it up), and at the heart of it is always Peter. He watches everything, and is the motivating force behind the entire camp. His calm, assured manner belies a great sense of humour and his boxing knowledge is second to none. Each and every fighter in the camp works their heart out - most of them regularly vomiting after some of the circuits and shuttle runs. This is a serious business and each and every minute of every day is focussed on one thing - being the best. Peter's mantra, often repeated throughout the week is "To be a champion you have to train like a champion. Every minute of every day is important.". They train 6 days a week. No breaks, no excuses. It is a relentless cycle of running, sparring, weights, core strength exercises. It's boxing training how you imagine the champions of old to have done it. It's just hard work.

The evening before I leave we all sit down and talk about Tyson's next opponent. It's an enlightening experience. Names are thrown up and opinions given. . And, despite popular belief, Tyson isn't dodging anybody. His take on fighters is "I'll fight anybody if it gets me nearer that title". Tyson truly believes he can beat any heavyweight out there right now and after seeing the way he trains who can doubt him? I certainly don't.

I leave Team Fury with a heavy heart. It's been an honour to be allowed into this secret training camp and it's been an honour to meet this family of fighters. Each one of them is a credit to themselves. They train harder than any other boxers I've come across and they mean business. If all you've known of Team Fury is Tyson talking about plumbing, or rowing with some cretin who's made disgusting personal comments to him on a social media site, then you've missed out and you've missed the point. The Fury's are great boxers, spartan-like trainers, good human beings, and they aren't going to rest until they get their titles - no glitz, no glamour, just hard training and the will to win.
