him fight and he sells out certain venues around Britain. I think that looking at things that way is totally unfair!
I managed to contact a few of Deakin's past opponents via twitter recently to get their thoughts on this matter. Here's what they had to say.
Ricky Owen (@rickyowen10) - Who fought Deakin in November 2007.
"He always gives it 100%. He doesn't win many but he doesn't get hurt and people in the sport love him. He deserves it back I think. Without people like him you wouldn't have boxing champs. He gives prospects a fight."
Patrick Hyland (@Pajpunisher) - Who fought Deakin in May 2008.
"I didn't know that! Yes, he's a good fighter with a lot of heart. He never stops coming forward and always gives it his all. With a bit more guidance in his career and match making he could have become English champ!! He always fought guys at top level."
Stephen Smith (@Swiftysmith) - Who fought Deakin in October 2008.
"Robin is as game as they come. A very tough lad who can be awkward and knows his way around the ring."
You see, fighters like Robin Deakin are a necessity. Fighters like Deakin give prospects of the sport a tough test. He always comes to fight and he loves the sport.
Boxing needs fighters like Deakin in the sport!
Hopefully things work out for him and he can get his license back!
