On the first day, our group was pretty quiet. No one seemed to be excited for this trip; maybe it was because we were too shy or sleep-deprived, but it took us a while until we finally “broke the ice”.
Day two was probably my favorite day. We visited Nan Lian Garden, which is a Tang-style Chinese garden situated next to Diamond Hill station. There you can have a nice walk surrounded by traditional Chinese landscape. It was really calming and pretty at the same time. Everywhere around you can hear relaxing music. You just need to find a nice bench to sleep on. For lunch we ate in a Japanese restaurant. We also went to Ping Shan Heritage Trail. And We enjoyed a traditional Chinese dinner called Poon Choi, which is essentially a huge bowl of assorted vegetables and meat heated in a special sauce.

Pretty fun, huh? All I remember is that I couldn’t sleep the night after that day because I was too full.
