Surat area New aircon for Surat’s lady bowlers Surat Ladies Bowling Club would like to acknowledge and thank Maranoa Regional Council for the grant they received of $2302 towards Air conditioning in the dining room. This is a great benefit to all who use the facility. With the recent heat waves it has made this area great to be in. Thank you to Councillor Newman for officiating the turning on of our new Air Conditioner. Pink Stumps Day in Surat March IN Surat area The Pink Stumps Day held in Surat on Australia Day was a huge success! The fundraiser raised $3219.16 for the McGrath Foundation which supports Breast Cancer Nurses. The day was played in good spirt with five teams competing for the winners title! Cecil’s Hawaiians won the final that was played out between them and the Young Bulls. Event Organiser Ben Hancock said “It was a very successful day, it was great to see everyone dressed up in pink and in good spirits for such a worthy cause!” “Thanks to everyone who helped make the day such a great success,” said Ben.
