New aircon for Surat’s lady
bowlers
Surat Ladies Bowling Club would like to
acknowledge and thank Maranoa Regional
Council for the grant they received of $2302
towards Air conditioning in the dining room.
This is a great benefit to all who use the
facility. With the recent heat waves it has
made this area great to be in. Thank you to
Councillor Newman for officiating the turning
on of our new Air Conditioner.
Pink Stumps Day in Surat
March IN Surat area
The Pink Stumps Day held in Surat on
Australia Day was a huge success! The
fundraiser raised $3219.16 for the McGrath
Foundation which supports Breast Cancer
Nurses. The day was played in good spirt
with five teams competing for the winners
title! Cecil’s Hawaiians won the final that was
played out between them and the Young
Bulls.
Event Organiser Ben Hancock said “It was a
very successful day, it
was great to see
everyone dressed up in
pink and in good spirits
for such a worthy
cause!”
“Thanks to everyone
who helped make the
day such a great
success,” said Ben.
